Since the mid-1980's, the Haight Ashbury Free
Medical Clinic has provided free, comprehensive primary medical care
and related services every year to approximately 150 uninsured,
low-income San Franciscans living with HIV disease.
The Free Clinic's HIV Care Services Program offers
a holistic approach to care that addresses many of our clients'
physical and psycho-social needs on-site. Each client is matched
with a staff medical practitioner and a case manager to develop
an individualized treatment plan, which may include both traditional
and alternative therapies.
